Best Paintball inKentucky

2025 nominees for the best paintball venue in Kentucky in the annual Paintball Award.

Kentucky has a proper old-school paintball scene, from the state’s oldest field in Elizabethtown to a Bowling Green park built around speedball and airball. These are the places we could confirm on their own websites.

CONDER’S PAINTBALL

Conder’s Paintball at 193 Ford Hwy in Elizabethtown calls itself the oldest and largest paintball field in Kentucky, open since 1990 on 80 acres and just minutes off I-65. There is a lot to play: a speedball field, an urban city course with more than 50 buildings and towers, two wooded courses with forts and towers, and an indoor arena for when the weather turns.

They run regular .68 caliber paintball, .50 caliber low impact and airsoft. Open play is Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 6pm, with sessions split around a break (10am to 2pm and 2:30 to 5:45pm on Saturday, 11am to 2pm and 2:30 to 5:45pm on Sunday). Weekdays are by appointment only. The heated and cooled pro shop has food, restrooms, rentals and air fills, including CO2. Birthday parties, bachelor parties, church groups, military outings and corporate events are all on the menu. One note: it isn’t pet friendly. Call 270-765-4517.

N-TENSE SPORTS

N-Tense Sports in Bowling Green, at 2101 Morgantown Rd, runs speedball, airball and rec-ball formats, and their groups don’t get mixed in with other parties. Open play is Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 6pm, with weekdays by appointment.

They are set up for younger players, with ages 5 and up welcome through gel blaster and low impact options. Their rental line-up includes .68 caliber Tippmann markers, lower impact .50 caliber markers, Planet Eclipse electronic markers, and ultra low impact spring-loaded .50 caliber markers for the smallest players. Parties need at least five people to get the party perks, and they say they can host groups of 100 or more. You can sign the waiver online ahead of time, and anyone who hasn’t will sign on arrival. Phone is 270-796-4120.

PAINTBALL ASYLUM

Paintball Asylum in Louisville is a full pro shop and play center that says it has been running tournaments and games longer than most players have been breathing. Fields are open by reservation Monday to Friday, with shop hours of noon to 7pm, and on weekends the doors are open Saturday 9am to 7pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm.

They also have a laser combat arena, group rates and tournament events, and every player needs a signed waiver (an online option is available). If you are in the market for a marker, they list a deal of five free play passes, a $75 value, with a marker purchase. Check pbasylum.com for current rates and field details before you head over.
