Best Paintball inPennsylvania

2025 nominees for the best paintball venue in Pennsylvania in the annual Paintball Award.

Pennsylvania has some of the biggest paintball parks in the East. We picked four, from the Poconos to the Pittsburgh area and Harrisburg.

SKIRMISH USA

Skirmish spreads across 750 acres in the Pocono Mountains with more than 50 maps. Terrain includes open ground, forest, waterways, swamps, forts, villages, castles, cargo containers, tanks, airplanes and speedball arenas. The field is at 211 N Meckesville Road in Albrightsville.

No experience is needed and staff help first-timers with gear. Scenario days include Normandy, Stalingrad, Berlin, Vietnam and Tank Day. Rentals, food and the Skirmish Armory pro shop are on site. Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are accepted, and waivers are required. Call 570-325-3654.

URBAN ASSAULT PAINTBALL

Urban Assault is at 201 Cecil Sturgeon Road in McDonald, about 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. It has more than 30 acres and six paintball fields, and has been family-run for over 30 years.

Open play for paintball and airsoft is for ages 10 and up with no minimum group size, on Saturdays from 12pm to 6pm and Sundays from 10am to 6pm. Groups need at least 8 players, and the park also offers night paintball, overnight camping and gellyball for ages 4 and up. Rentals are available and East Coast Paintball Supply is the pro shop. Call (724) 926-9000.

THREE RIVERS PAINTBALL PARK

Three Rivers is at 282 Rochester Road in Freedom, about 25 minutes north of Pittsburgh. It bills itself as Western Pennsylvania’s largest paintball facility and plays indoors year-round, with an outdoor area planned.

Standard paintball is for ages 10 and up, low impact for ages 8 and up, and airsoft for ages 10 and up. Reservations are required with 24 hours’ notice, or 48 hours for private parties. The park has been family-owned since 1983 and focuses on birthday, bachelor, corporate and team-building groups. Call (724) 775-6232.

OUTDOOR XTREME LINGLESTOWN

Outdoor Xtreme Linglestown is near Harrisburg. Its site says to put the venue name into your GPS rather than the street address, 1 Iru Lane. There are several outdoor fields for standard .68 caliber paintball, low impact .50 caliber for ages 8 and up, airsoft and gellyball.

Airsoft walk-ons run on Saturdays and Sundays, and private parties are available every day. There is an on-site ProShop, an airsoft rental fleet and an online waiver. Call (717) 541-8323 to reserve.
