Louisiana paintball means castles, bridges and plenty of woods. From the Northshore to Cajun country to the northwest corner of the state, here are the venues we could confirm.

PAINTBALL COMMAND

Paintball Command in Mandeville, at 21268 Emile Strain Rd, has been operating since 2001 and is open year-round on 40 acres. Both the Explore Louisiana tourism listing and the venue describe four fields, including a scenario field with more than three miles of trails, two-story bunkers, bridges and a castle, plus a wooded speedball field, a hyperball field and a regulation tournament field.

They have trained referees, a pro shop, and a Pee Wee Paintball program for ages 8 to 10 with lower impact play. The grounds are also handicapped accessible, which is not something every field can say. Call (985) 809-7668 to book, and check paintballcommand.com for current rates.

O.F.F. LIMITS PAINTBALL

O.F.F. Limits Paintball in Elm Grove, at 610 Robinson Rd, is the big one in the northwest. Their site lists 10 playing fields over 50-plus acres, and all the equipment is provided in their packages, which start at $40 per player, with group discounts for groups of 10 or more.

Hours are by reservation Monday through Thursday, Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm, and Sunday 2pm to 6pm. They also host a Monthly Mixer on the first Sunday of each month from 2pm to 6pm, which is a nice way to jump in without a group. Games are refereed by trained adults, and a signed waiver is required. Phone is (318) 987-2696.

LEVENA PAINTBALL

Levena Paintball in Duson, at 1906 S Richfield Rd, offers open play on multiple fields along with private parties and team building events. Rental gear and paint are available, and they offer equipment repair, which is handy if your marker picked a bad day to quit.

They run special events including castle siege games, and airsoft happens on the first Sunday of every month. You can register online and sign your waiver in advance. Call 337-552-1166 or check levenapaintball.com for current pricing and hours.
