Best Paintball inMaryland
2025 nominees for the best paintball venue in Maryland in the annual Paintball Award.
Maryland players have a handful of long-running parks within reach of Baltimore and Frederick. Here is what the venues say about themselves.
PAINTBALL SPORTSLAND
Paintball Sportsland at 10418 Old Liberty Rd in Frederick offers both paintball and airsoft, and stays open all year, rain or shine. Open play is Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm, and weekdays are for private parties.
As of January 2026, their site listed an all-day field fee of $20.00 for paintball, and it is a field paint only facility, so plan on buying your paint on site. Their party packages are low impact only, and they offer Spanish-language service. Call 301-898-1100.
ROUTE 40 PAINTBALL PARK
Route 40 Paintball Park has been around since 2000, and it is built around four tournament-size hyperball fields. That makes it a good fit for anyone who wants fast, competitive, close-range matches. Open play runs every weekend, with games starting at 10am. They offer rental packages and party services, and it is paintball only, with no airsoft. The park is listed at 11011 Pulaski Highway in White Marsh. Call 410-335-7622 to confirm the day’s schedule.
NR ADVENTURE PARK
NR Adventure Park in Taneytown, at 3939 Old Taneytown Rd, offers paintball (including low impact) and airsoft, and says it is open every weekend. Open play is Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm, and weekdays are private parties by appointment only. They advertise weekend walk-on deals and say they have more than 800 five-star Google reviews, so we’d take a look at current reviews before you book. Phone is 410-756-4200.
