Best Paintball inVirginia

2025 nominees for the best paintball venue in Virginia in the annual Paintball Award.

Virginia has one of the most developed parks in the Mid-Atlantic plus solid options near Richmond and Williamsburg. These are three venues with current sites.

PEV’S PAINTBALL PARK

Pev’s is at 39835 New Road in Aldie, less than 30 miles from Washington, DC. It covers 48 acres with 14 fields, including a town with 25-plus buildings, a fortress with 3 towers, a man-made rock field with caves, a scrap yard, a log yard and two turf fields.

Ages are 5 and up for gelly ball, 8 for low impact, 10 for traditional paintball and 13 for airsoft. Reservations are required at least three days ahead and waivers are online. Rentals, a pro shop and food are available. Call 703-327-7640.

XZONE PAINTBALL PARK

XZone is at 6851 Courthouse Road in Chesterfield, south of Richmond, on 20-plus acres with five maps. It runs standard paintball and glowball night play for ages 10 and up.

Weekends are open from 10am to 5pm with walk-ons welcome, and weekdays are by reservation. Rentals are available and a pro shop was recently added. Waivers are online and the park also does parties, school groups and corporate outings. Call (804) 386-6594.

NEW KENT PAINTBALL/AIRSOFT GAMES

New Kent is at 14375 Marine Corps Drive in Lanexa. It has seven bases, bunkers and towers across three wooded fields, and players must be at least 12.

Paintball is private games only, with a 25 player minimum on the first Saturday of the month and three weeks’ notice plus a deposit. Airsoft is open to walk-ons on the other Saturdays. Paintball rental includes marker, tank, goggles and 500 rounds, and military trucks shuttle players at lunch. Call (804) 966-5104.
